How Invoice and Estimate Numbering Works

Each invoice and estimate you create is automatically numbered by the app.

Default behavior:

• When you create a new business, documents start with default prefixes:

  • Invoices begin with 001

  • Estimates begin with EST001

• The app automatically increases the number with each new document.

Can I customize the numbering?

Yes. You can:

• Change the number manually before saving the invoice or estimate

• Add prefixes, letters, or custom formats like INV-224, A2025-003, or QUOTE-5

Once you use a custom format, the app continues the sequence automatically:

• For example, if you set INV-224, the next invoice will be INV-225

• If you use QUOTE-5, the next estimate will be QUOTE-6
